  1. Provide a central organization for corporate and individual integrated marketing communicators as well as maintain registers of fellow, Full Members, Associates, Registered Marketing Communicators, Communication Technicians and Students.

  2. Stimulate, energize, develop and promote sound integrated marketing communication education, training, research professional practice as well as supply qualified practitioners of IMC to all sector of the economy.

  3. Conduct Examinations, award professional Certificates Diploma in IMC fields as well as promote the advancement of efficient professional marketing communication through professional forums, workshops, Re-certification process, agenda setting on professional and national issues.

  4. Secure, establish and maintain registers of fellows, Full members, Associates, Registered Integrated Marketing Communications Technician entitled to practice as certified Integrated Marketing Communications practitioners as well as publish their names from time to time in Nigeria.

  5. To regulate, enforce responsible and ethical integrated marketing communications practice and discipline as practiced in global advanced economies.

  6. To encourage a standard professional qualifying training is designed and maintained by Nigerian College of Business & Marketing Communications/ BCA- an independent and accredited training affiliate to (CMCIN) the institute, as well as in Tertiary institutions of higher learning in Nigeria and beyond.
